Smart Girls is a program aimed at improving the interest of girls in STEM, particularly computer science by engaging them and providing a hands-on experience in an environment designed to be supportive, enriching and most importantly – fun!
The program offers an opportunity for girls to learn programming languages like Python & Scratch, as well as having fun with Minecraft and robots.
The menace of technology gender gap
Computing is where the jobs are — and where they will be in the future, but fewer than 1 in 5 computer science graduates are women.
Our alumni go on to create coders club in their schools and communities which act as a supportive sisterhood for other girls who want to get into coding.
We have built a supportive network of students and mentors who help our alumni build their confidence, improve their computing skills and be the best they can be.
